Roll Out The Barrel

A much-loved date in the Lancaster Brewery event calendar, the Roll Out The Barrel obstacle course is happening once again, on Sunday 20th October, 2019! 

If you’ve not heard of Roll Out The Barrel before, it’s an obstacle course where teams of four have to navigate a full beer barrel from start to finish! It sounds like a big task - and it really is - but this is a charity challenge and all of the money raised will go to our fabulous neighbours, Fork to Fork. 

Mark Westall, Operations Manager at Lancaster Brewery, has said: “Barrels are round, they are designed to be rolled, so why not come and roll one for a good cause?

“Roll out the Barrel is probably one of the most entertaining events we host throughout the year, and always a good laugh! All proceeds for the event go to the amazing charity Fork to Fork, which is a horticultural project run by people with support needs in Lancaster located right behind Lancaster Brewery.”

This is a family friendly event, so bring your little ones and bring your pups! There will be food, drink, and live music throughout the day so, even if you’re not taking part, you can still come along to cheer on the teams.

To enter, you’ll need a mixed-gendered team of 4 people, aged 18+. All proceeds from the event go to Fork to Fork – each team has to raise £120 to enter. Every team member will get a free Roll Out The Barrel t-shirt, as well as food and beer vouchers!

Our doors open at 8 am for those of you who want to watch both quarter final rugby matches in the Brewhouse & Tap. All Roll Out The Barrel teams have to be with us by 11 am for registration.
